Over the break I did lots of experimenting. The above artworks are from a little series of contemporary art I developed by screen printing onto natural hemp. As with a lot of my art the underlying theme of 'rural/urban' is present but I also find myself exploring childhood memories and nostalgia a lot more. The hemp is a great material to work with although difficult to print onto... but the imperfections is what gives these works their character.
